Prove the official site

Place a UTF-8 text file at /.well-known/compoatlas.txt on your HTTPS domain. Write one brand per line, as printed on your products, at most 20 names and 16 KB. No header, email address or contact name. Each name must match a listed brand. The file must return text/plain without login or challenge.

Known reseller domains, excluded or withdrawn sites and overly generic names are refused. A domain already confirmed by Wikipedia or well-known proof remains protected: conflicts are reported without replacement.

A dated well-known proof is saved in the registry. The existing workflow will read the catalogue on its next pass, respecting robots.txt, withdrawals and publication checks. Verification does not immediately publish a product or guarantee a complete catalogue. The file proves that you control the domain. Registration is immediate if the domain carries exactly the brand name or is already known as the brand's site; otherwise the request is reviewed before any registration.

Public API: POST /api/brands/verify-site with a JSON object containing “domain”.
