Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use in the presence of abdominal pain, nausea, fever or vomiting (this refers to signs of appendicitis or inflamed bowel). Do not use if you have an allergy to psyllium or pectin.

Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause it to swell and block your throat and esophagus. Take with at least 8 oz (250 ml) of water (fluid) or other liquid.
