AlgaeCal® helps to increase/improve bone mineral density (BMD) in women in conjunction with Vitamin D (20 mcg) and a healthy diet. Adequate calcium intake, when combined with sufficient Vitamin D, a healthy diet and physical activity may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis (in peri- and postmenopausal women) in later life. Calcium helps maintain normal muscle function. Vitamin C helps in collagen formation to maintain healthy bones, cartilage, teeth and/or gums. Magnesium helps in the development and maintenance of bones and teeth, and in tissue formation.

A use authorised in Canada is not an authorised health claim in the European Union. See the health claims register.
