Warnings in Canada
- Précautions et mises en garde
For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply to wounds or damaged skin. Keep out of the reach of children. If overdose or accidental ingestion occurs, call a Poison Control Center immediately. Overdose may result in serious harm. Do not exceed the single or maximum daily dose because this will increase the risk of adverse drug reactions including convulsions and rectal bleeding. Do not use in children with a recent history of epilepsy or febrile convulsions, or with a recent history of anorectal lesions. Do not use for longer than 3 days due to the possible risks related to accumulation of eucalyptol and camphor in the body including the brain, in particular neuropsychological disorders; and the risk of rectal burning. Do not give with any other cough and cold medications since harm may occur, unless recommended by a healthcare practitioner. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you: have persistent or chronic cough, difficulty breathing, asthma or other chronic lung conditions, unless directed by a physician. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to combining with other medications, including natural health products, prescription drugs or non-prescription drugs. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms worsen, last for more than a week or are accompanied by a high fever (>38o C) or the production of thick yellow/green phlegm. Consult a health care practitioner promptly in case of rectal bleeding.
