本品にはルテイン、ゼアキサンチン、デルフィニジン3,5-ジグルコシドが含まれます。ルテイン、ゼアキサンチンは、目の黄斑色素量を増加、維持する働きがあり、コントラスト感度（色の濃淡を識別し、ぼやけ、かすみを緩和する視機能）やグレア回復（まぶしさから回復する視機能）のサポート、ブルーライトなどの光ストレスを軽減する機能があることが報告されています。デルフィニジン 3,5-ジグルコシドには、スマートフォンやパソコン、TVゲームなどのVDT作業を日常的に行う健康な人の低下しがちな目の潤いをサポートし、VDT作業による一時的な目の疲労感や一時的な目の不快感を軽減する機能が報告されています。
