本品にはアスタキサンチン、ルテイン・ゼアキサンチンが含まれます。抗酸化作用を持つアスタキサンチンは、紫外線刺激から肌を保護するのを助ける機能性、紫外線を浴びた肌を乾燥から守り、肌のうるおいを守る機能性が報告されています。ルテイン・ゼアキサンチンには、目の黄斑部の色素量を増やす働きがあり、ブルーライト光の刺激からの保護や、コントラスト感度（ぼやけの緩和によりはっきり見る力）の改善が報告されています。
