本品にはルテイン・ゼアキサンチン、アスタキサンチンが含まれます。ルテイン・ゼアキサンチンは黄斑部の色素量を増やし、ブルーライト光や紫外線などの光の刺激から目を保護し、ぼやけの緩和によってはっきりと見る力（コントラスト感度）をサポートすることが報告されています。また、アスタキサンチンは、手元のピント調節力を維持し、日常的なパソコンやスマートフォンなどによる目の疲労感を軽減し、目の使用による肩や腰の負担を軽減する機能があることが報告されています。
