本品にはアスタキサンチンが含まれます。抗酸化作用を持つアスタキサンチンは、紫外線の刺激から肌を保護することを助ける機能と、肌の水分量（うるおい）と肌の弾力を維持することで、肌の乾燥を緩和し肌の健康を守るのを助ける機能があることが報告されています。
