本品には、葛の花由来イソフラボン（テクトリゲニン類として）とブラックジンジャー由来ポリメトキシフラボンが含まれます。葛の花由来イソフラボン（テクトリゲニン類として）には、日常生活活動時や運動時（3.5メッツ程度のもの）のエネルギー消費（カロリー消費）を高める機能があることが報告されています。ブラックジンジャー由来ポリメトキシフラボンには、日常活動時のエネルギー代謝において、脂肪を消費しやすくする機能があることが報告されています。また、BMIが高め（BMI23以上30未満）の方の腹部の脂肪（内臓脂肪と皮下脂肪）を減らす機能があることが報告されています。
