本品にはルテイン、ゼアキサンチンとクロセチンが含まれます。ルテイン、ゼアキサンチンは眼の黄斑色素量を増加、維持する働きがあり、コントラスト感度（色の濃淡を識別し、ぼやけ、かすみを緩和する視機能）、グレア回復（まぶしさから回復する視機能）のサポート、ブルーライトなどの光ストレス、一時的な精神ストレス、眼の疲労感の軽減に役立ち、睡眠の質を高める機能があることが報告されています。クロセチンは、目のピント調節をサポートする（パソコン作業などにより生じる目の調節機能の低下を和らげる）ことが報告されています。また良質な眠りをサポートする（睡眠の質（眠りの深さ）を高め、起床時の眠気や疲労感を和らげる）ことが報告されています。
