◆本品にはアスタキサンチンが含まれます。アスタキサンチンはパソコンやスマートフォンなどのモニター作業における40代以降の方の視力の維持をサポートする機能が報告されています。なお、近視や遠視などの屈折異常を改善するものではありません。アスタキサンチンは記憶力に衰えを感じている健常な中高年の認知機能の一部である視覚的な記憶力（図形を認識し、記憶してから思い出す力）の維持に役立つ機能が報告されています。また、抗酸化作用を持つアスタキサンチンには、肌の水分保持に役立ち、肌の潤いを守るのを助ける（肌の保湿力を維持する）機能があることが報告されています。◆本品にはルテイン・ゼアキサンチンが含まれます。ルテイン・ゼアキサンチンは目の黄斑部の色素量を増やし、紫外線やブルーライト光などの光ストレス刺激から保護し、コントラスト感度（色の濃淡を判別する力）を改善する機能があることが報告されています。
