本品にはビフィズス菌BB536と酢酸が含まれます。ビフィズス菌BB536には大腸の腸内環境を改善し、腸の調子を整える機能が、酢酸には日常生活で生じる運動（5～6METs）程度の疲労感を軽減する機能、肥満気味の方のおなかの脂肪（内臓脂肪、腹部総脂肪）を減少させる機能があることが報告されています。

ビフィズス菌BB536スターター、乳製品 ・ビフィズス菌BB536スターターは発酵に用いるスターター（種菌）です。 ・このスターターを用いて発酵させることで、当該製品中に機能性関与成分であるビフィズス菌BB536が摂取目安量当たり２０億個含まれるように製品設計されています。なお、発酵乳乳酸菌飲料公正取引協議会が発行している「発酵乳・乳酸菌飲料の表示に関する公正競争規約とその解説」（2022年11月改訂）には「スターターに使用した乳酸菌、酵母等は、原材料名としての表示を省略する。」とあります。そのため、原材料名としてビフィズス菌BB536スターターを記載しておりません。 ・また、本製品は乳製品を発酵させることにより生成した酢酸を機能性関与成分としています。
