本品にはクロセチンとルテイン・ゼアキサンチンが含まれます。クロセチンは目のピント調節をサポートする（パソコン作業などにより生じる目の調節機能の低下を和らげる）ことが報告されています。ルテイン・ゼアキサンチンは、ブルーライトなどの光から目を守り、年齢と共に減少する網膜の黄斑色素を増やす機能があること、色のコントラスト感度（ぼやけやかすみの緩和により、くっきりとものを識別する力）を改善すること、光刺激からの回復（まぶしい光を受けた後に視力が戻るまでの時間）を改善することが報告されています。
