À n’utiliser qu’après avis médical en cas d’usage concomitant d’anticoagulants (curcuma, vitamine K), d’obstruction des voies biliaires, d’ulcère gastrique, d’hyperacidité, d’anticoagulants, anticancéreux, immunosuppresseurs et calculs biliaires (curcuma). Déconseillé chez la femme enceinte, allaitante et avant l’âge de 18 ans (curcuma, chondroïtine, glucosamine). Déconseillé aux fumeurs (bêta-carotène). Déconseillé aux personnes diabétiques ou pré-diabétiques, asthmatiques, traitées par anti-vitamine K, aux personnes dont l’alimentation est contrôlée pour le sodium, le potassium ou le calcium (glucosamine et chondroïtine). Contre-indiqué aux personnes présentant une allergie alimentaire aux crustacés ou aux insectes (glucosamine).
