Contre-indications: Ne pas utiliser durant la grossesse ou l’allaitement. Comme toutes les plantes qui contiennent de la caféine, le guarana n’est pas conseillé pour les personnes souffrant d’hypertension, de troubles cardiaques, diabètes, ulcères, épilepsie… Interactions médicamenteuses : Le guarana pourrait potentialiser les médicaments anticoagulants comme le Warfarin. Il pourrait susciter des effets contraires (maux de tête) s’il est utilisé avec des MAO inhibiteurs.
