Déconseillé en cas d'ulcère gastro-duodénal (estomac ou duodénum), d’obstruction des voies biliaires ou d’autres troubles de la fonction biliaire, de calculs biliaires ou de pathologie des voies biliaires. Déconseillé aux personnes diabétiques ou pré-diabétiques, asthmatiques, traitées par anti-vitamine K ou sous traitement anticoagulants, anticancéreux ou à base d'immunosuppresseurs. Déconseillé chez les personnes présentant une allergie alimentaire aux crustacés et aux insectes ou dont l'alimentation est contrôlée pour le sodium, le potassium ou le calcium. Après trois mois de prise, une pause d’un mois est recommandée avant de reprendre si besoin. Ne pas dépasser la dose journalière recommandée.
