Cosmetics in South Korea: prohibited ingredients and limits

In South Korea, the MFDS regulation on cosmetic safety standards prohibits the substances in its Annex 1 and sets, in Annex 2, limits for preservatives, UV filters, hair dyes and other substances (version of Notification 2026-19 of 18 March 2026). A separate regulation establishes the list of authorised colourants, with the areas where they must not be applied (eye area, lips) and their limits (version of Notification 2023-61 of 21 September 2023).

For information only: these rules do not affect sales in France. 1,454 included entries, source text reproduced unchanged.
