Uses authorised in Canada

A use authorised in Canada is not an authorised health claim in the European Union. See the health claims register.
Warnings in Canada
- Précautions et mises en garde
Use only enough solution to produce desired hemostatic effect. Solution should be left in contact with tissue for no longer than two minutes. Use should be limited to one quadrant of the mouth. Shelf life will be aided by avoiding introduction of contaminants into the bottle such as cotton pellets, cord and mental instruments. To use, transfer a few drops to separate container.
- Contre-indications
Persons with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism or hypertension. Avoid use where bone is exposed, as in apicoectomy and gingivectomy, and in endodontic procedures where apical faramen is not fully formed.
- Effets indésirables connus
Contains Sodium Bisulfite, a sulfite that may cause allergic-type reactions including anaphylactic symptoms and life threatening or less severe asthmatic episodes in certain susceptible people. The overall prevalence of sulfite sensitivity in the general population is unknown and probably low. Sulfite sensitivity is seen more frequently in asthmatic than in normal asthmatic people.
