本品にはルテイン、ゼアキサンチンが含まれます。ルテイン、ゼアキサンチンは、眼の黄斑色素量を増加、維持する働きがあり、コントラスト感度（色の濃淡を識別し、ぼやけ、かすみを緩和する視機能）、グレア回復（まぶしさから回復する視機能）のサポート、ブルーライトなどの光ストレス、一時的な精神ストレス、眼の疲労感の軽減に役立ち、睡眠の質を高める機能があることが報告されています。 本品にはイチョウ葉フラボノイド配糖体およびイチョウ葉テルペンラクトンが含まれます。イチョウ葉フラボノイド配糖体およびイチョウ葉テルペンラクトンは、脳の血流を改善することで、認知機能の一部である記憶力（日常生活で生じる行動や判断を記憶し、思い出す力）を維持する機能があることが報告されています。
