Déconseillé aux femmes enceintes ou allaitantes et en cas de : trouble de la déglutition, allergie aux dérivés salicylés ou intolérance aux anti-inflammatoires non-stéroïdiens, allergies au menthol ou à d’autres plantes de la famille des Apiaceae, traitement anticoagulant, insuffisance cardiaque ou rénale oedémateuses ou hépatique ou d’achlorhydrie, obstruction biliaire ou autres troubles biliaires ou hépatiques, reflux gastro-œsophagien, ulcère gastro-duodénal, gastrite, saignement rectal non diagnostiqué et incapacité à déféquer liés à l'utilisation d'un laxatif, rétrécissement anormal du tractus gastro-intestinal, maladies de l'œsophage et du cardia, blocage intestinal potentiel ou existant, paralysie de l'intestin ou un mégacôlon, en cas de prise concomitante de médicaments ou de menthe poivrée sous au autre type de préparation. Ne pas utiliser de manière prolongée (max 14 jours). En cas de traitements médicamenteux, demander conseil à un professionnel de santé.
