Autorisé, mais encadré : l'annexe III fixe une teneur maximale, les types de produits autorisés et un avertissement à imprimer sur l'emballage. La liste d'ingrédients n'indique pas les quantités : la teneur ne se vérifie pas sur l'étiquette, l'avertissement si.
Un ingrédient ne peut servir de colorant que s'il figure sur la liste de l'annexe IV. ACID RED 92 en fait partie avec un avertissement à imprimer.
