Le règlement (CE) n° 1223/2009 s'applique en Suisse (article 54 de l'ordonnance sur les denrées alimentaires et les objets usuels).

États-Unis, règles fédérales

Aucune des règles fédérales américaines sur les ingrédients cosmétiques que nous reprenons (titre 21 du code des règlements fédéraux, sections 700.11 à 700.27 et 250.250) ne vise ce nom. L'autorité américaine (FDA) ne publie pas de liste d'ingrédients autorisés.
