Cautions and Warnings : This product and other osmotic bowel preparations can cause side effects including serious loss of body fluid (dehydration) and changes in blood salts (electrolytes) in your blood.
These changes can cause abnormal heartbeats, seizures (even if you have never had a seizure) and kidney problems.
Your chance of having dehydration and changes in body salt with this product are higher if you have heart or kidney problems, or if you take water pills or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Tell your HCP if you have any symptoms of too much fluid loss, including vomiting, nausea, bloating, dizziness, abdominal cramping, headache, less than usual urine, or trouble drinking clear fluid.
Tell your HCP if you have gout. This product may cause worsening gout.
Tell your HCP if you have heart problems. This product may cause irregular heartbeats.
Tell your HCP if you have a history of seizures.
Tell your HCP if you are withdrawing from drinking alcohol.
Tell your HCP if you have a low blood salt (sodium) level.
Tell your HCP if you have kidney problems.
This product may cause ulcers of the bowel or bowel problems. Do not take other laxatives while taking this product.
Tell your HCP if you have ulcerative colitis.
Tell your HCP if you have stomach or bowel problems.
Tell your HCP if you have problems with swallowing or gastric reflux.
Do not drink this product before first mixing with water. Drinking undiluted solution may increase the risk of nausea, vomiting and dehydration.
It is important to drink the additional recommended amount of water to prevent dehydration.
