Cosmetics in Australia: Poisons Standard and sunscreens

Australia has no single list of cosmetic ingredients. The Poisons Standard regulates certain substances: Schedule 10 prohibits the use it names, Schedule 4 reserves the uses it names for prescription and Schedule 2 for pharmacy sale, while Schedules 5 and 6 impose labelling, packaging or thresholds. Only entries mentioning cosmetic use are included here, alongside active ingredients authorised in sunscreens.

For information only: these rules do not affect sales in France. 238 included entries, source text reproduced unchanged.
